Being Right with Yahweh, Our God

We believe there is a God. Moses told the Israelites that His name is Yahweh, pronounced "Yah-way." He created everything through one of His seven spirits, called "The Word," and we also acknowledge that God has a personality. God's disposition includes holiness, laws, accountability, and love.

We recognize that one man, Adam, disobeyed God by doing what he was told not to do, and he was held accountable. His and Eve's punishment was that they could no longer stay in the Garden of Eden. Therefore, God's disposition to hold human beings accountable includes both punishment and rewards. If you disobey, you are punished; if you obey, you are rewarded. Adam and Eve could no longer stay in the garden because they disobeyed God. They had been in a place filled with love, where they had everything they needed and could have lived forever. They were in the garden for what may have been millions of years or more.
